Parenting a teen is hard enough.

Add in the nuances of the ADHD brain, and it feels like you’re really flying blind.

You’ve tried the routines. The reminders. The consequences—all the “tools” under the moon. Still, your teen shuts down, lashes out, or ignores you completely.

You find yourself …

  • Walking on eggshells with your own kid, wondering if it’s hormones, ADHD, or something you did wrong.
  • Googling “ADHD parenting strategies” at midnight because you can’t stop replaying the latest meltdown.
  • With creeping self-doubt that whispers You’re messing this up… when you’re just trying to help.

You don’t need to be a know-it-all parent.

You just need help figuring out how to be the best parent for your kid’s brain.

(Psst! The fact that you’re here? That already says a lot.)

When you don’t understand how ADHD impacts your teen’s brain, every strategy feels like trial and error.
(Emphasis on “error.”)

Without the right tools, even your best parenting instincts can backfire.

You don’t need perfection. You need a plan.

Imagine knowing what to say in a hard conversation
and actually being heard. Imagine your teen starting to take ownership,
and a home that doesn’t feel like a battlefield.

  • Know what to say (and what not to) when emotions are running high
  • Set expectations that don’t unravel by Wednesday
  • Handle disrespect without losing your cool
  • Support your teen’s growth without hovering or micromanaging
  • Stay grounded so you can respond, not react, especially when tension mounts.

Roughly 90% of teens with ADHD struggle with executive function—the brain’s ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through.

When your teen forgets things, misses deadlines, or struggles with transitions, they’re not being lazy or defiant. Their brain is overwhelmed.

And, understandably, so are you:

Parents of teens with ADHD report 3x higher levels of
stress, anxiety, and divorce than parents of neurotypical kids.

No wonder it feels like you’re always bracing for impact.

You’re not failing. You’re trying to solve a complex problem without the tools you need.

What you’ll learn inside The Parent Academy

This is real-life coaching for real-life parenting—

🧭 Parent with empathy instead of control

Shift from “command + demand” to connection. Learn how to talk to your teen in a way that builds trust, and avoids shutdowns, with real-life scripts and step-by-step language.

🧨 De-escalate tension before it spirals

Meltdowns, door slams, and eye rolls—oh my! You’ll learn how to calm the chaos without giving up authority, so you can confidently reset the tone when emotions are high and everyone’s on edge.

🎯 Reset unrealistic expectations (and feel good doing it)

If you’re frustrated that your teen “should just be able to do the tasks,” you’re not alone. Learn to adjust your expectations to match how the ADHD brain works, so you can stop feeling like everything is going worse than it should.

🧠 Understand what’s really going on beneath the behavior

Is it laziness, defiance… or executive dysfunction? You’ll learn how to spot the difference and respond with insight, instead of gut instinct.

🗣 Have hard conversations without the blowups

From hygiene and homework to curfews and independence, we’ll practice how to have tough talks that don’t end in tears and silence.

🔁 Break the cycle of conflict and miscommunication

If you’re stuck in the same arguments on repeat, you’ll learn how to change the dynamic, starting with what you can shift (without blaming yourself or your teen).

Our group coaching sessions are grounded in your real-life examples.
By sharing, not only will you figure out what to do next, one conversation at a time,

you’ll help your peer parents do the same.

You’re already spending money trying to make life easier —
planners, last-minute Amazon hauls, and parenting
books you
never have the time (or patience) to finish…

But here’s the truth:
$39/month is a lot less than the cost of eating
takeout in silence after
another blow-up.

This isn’t another thing on your plate.
It’s the plan that helps everything else feel a little more doable.

Less than $10 a week for clarity, confidence, and support
you won’t find anywhere else.

  • Who It’s For:
I offer one-on-one coaching for teens, not parents. But over the years, I’ve heard from parents of my clients that they want strategies and tools to apply, too.
The Parent Academy is how you can get my strategies, tools, and support for parenting a high schooler with ADHD. (Middle school parents are welcome, but coaching will focus on the high school season.)

👉🏼 There are only 25 family spots (a parent couple fills one “spot”) available to keep the cohort intimate— grab your spot before they fill up!

This isn’t another thing to crowd your already-full plate.

If The Parent Academy doesn’t help you feel more confident
and supported as a parent, you can cancel at any time, no questions asked.

No contract. No pressure. Just the kind of support every parent deserves.

Hey there, I’m Kelly!

I’m a licensed ADHD life coach with a passion for helping teens thrive.

I’m also a parent who used to feel like I was doing everything wrong for my son with ADHD. The meltdowns and frustration—for both of us—felt endless.

After his diagnosis, I started reading everything I could about ADHD and making small changes, one at a time. Slowly, things got better. Our home became calmer. We started connecting again.

That journey led me to get certified as an ADHD coach. Since 2018, I’ve worked with hundreds of teens, and I’ve seen firsthand the difference it makes when parents have the right tools, too.

The Parent Academy is the resource I wish I’d had when I first started noticing my son’s struggles and strengths.

It’s a place where you don’t have to white-knuckle your way through the hard days. A community where everyone gets it. Support that actually helps.

I’m excited to welcome you inside.

The Parent Academy is for you if ...

01

  • You’re parenting a high schooler with ADHD, and have wondered, Is this normal teen behavior or ADHD? You’re ready for answers that help you respond with clarity instead of second-guessing everything.

02

  • You want to parent with more confidence, but you’re tired of Googling your way through every hard moment. You need clear strategies for the ADHD brain, not more noise.

03

  • You feel like nothing you try sticks. You’ve read the books, tried the routines, and still find yourself stuck in the same cycle of blow-ups, shutdowns, and stress.

04

  • You’re craving connection with your teen, and with other parents who get it. You’re done feeling like the only one navigating a home that feels weighed down & unsteady.

05

  • You don’t need a one-size-fits-all parenting course. You need support that speaks directly to the ADHD brain—and to the heart of what your family actually needs right now.

06

  • You’re not trying to be the perfect parent. You just want to show up for your teen with approaches that actually help

Any of that resonate with you?

Q & A

Let’s clarify a few things, because parenting a teen
with ADHD already has
enough surprises.

What if my teen doesn’t have a formal ADHD diagnosis?
The tools inside The Parent Academy Membership are designed to support how the ADHD brain works, whether you have a diagnosis or not. If your child is showing signs of ADHD—or if traditional parenting strategies just aren’t cutting it with your teen who seems to think, act, and respond differently than their peers—you’re welcome here.

I’ve tried books, blogs, and even a few therapy sessions. How is this different?
The Parent Academy Membership is an ongoing rhythm of support—live coaching, bite-sized training, and a community that gets it. It’s here when you need it, flexible when you don’t, and built to help you actually implement, not just consume. The resources inside don’t replace therapy—we recommend sticking with it if you’re already in the habit. Coaching complements the work you do in counseling with a proactive approach to your parenting.

What if I can’t make the live calls?
I recommend attending the live calls whenever possible, but I also understand busy schedules. The live coaching sessions are recorded and uploaded, so you can catch up when it works for you. Plus, you’ll get a new pre-recorded training every month, so you’ll have something to work on with no scheduling stress required.

What if my partner and I parent differently? What if one of us has ADHD, too? Will this help?
Yep. In fact, that’s pretty common. The tools inside The Parent Academy Membership are designed to bring more clarity and consistency into your home, even when both parents don’t approach things the same way, and even when everyone’s brains function a bit differently (bc, yep, that’s how brains work.)

I’m so overwhelmed—is this just adding one more thing to my plate?
I hear you, friend. I was you. And you’re exactly who this was made for. The Parent Academy Membership isn’t about giving you more to do—it’s about helping you do things better. You’ll get clear next steps, judgment-free support, and tactics that work even when it feels like nothing will.

Parenting is hard—ADHD doesn’t have to make it harder

(I said what I said.)

If you’ve got more than one kid, you know firsthand that no two children can be parented the exact same way.

ADHD makes your kid unique, but every kid is unique. You just need to know the approaches that work for your child’s brain—and I can help.

The Parent Academy Membership was designed to make parenting a high schooler with ADHD easier and even—dare I say it?!enjoyable. Your home can feel less chaotic, your relationship with your child can feel grounded & healthy, and your days can run more smoothly.

Join The Parent Academy Membership and get access to expert guidance, a parenting community, and practical tools that help you:

  • Show up with confidence (even when things feel messy)
  • Communicate without power struggles
  • Support your teen’s growth without trying to fix them
  • Build connection, calm, and clarity into everyday life

For just $39/month, you’ll get:

  •  Two LIVE calls (Tuesdays)
